We created Metamottos as a way to ground our interactions in this new world in a deeper truth. Choose your Metamottos to reflect who you are, or to shape who you want to be in the Metaverse. These become digital values statements that you own - both in the economic sense, but also in the moral and ethical sense... These statements describe you - how you feel, what you value, how you choose to act and react. Your digital soul.
Whether you keep it personal in your wallet, display it in-game or in an open world, show it off somewhere in the physical world, or even gift it to someone you care about, your Metamotto will show what is important to you, and the words you live by.
Its the digital equivalent of wearing your heart on your sleeve.

When is the initial Metamottos drop?
We're looking to kick off the new year with a bang, so our first Metamotto drop (Standard Edition) will occur in late March 2022, via a “slow mint” process, where the entire supply will be listed on Opensea across a period of a few days, to keep gas wars and hype sales to a minimum. The Limited Editions will drop in Early April. Stay tuned to our twitter feed @Metamottos for updates, and browse the collections on Opensea from mid-March.
What exactly is a Metamottos NFT?
When you buy a Metamottos NFT, you receive a piece of digital creativity (initially PNG, but we have some exciting future 3D art plans), showcasing a phrase or quotation by some of the most influential thought leaders of all history… But by minting on the blockchain, you are able to show the world that these statements are truly yours - the moral and ethical building blocks of your digital identity! These are truly value statements that you can build your digital existence upon as we enter Web 3.0.
Why are you minted across two collections on Polygon and Ethereum?
Quite simply, we believe that Polygon is a better fit for our standard collection of NFTs… The elimination of gas prices on transactions makes Metamottos more accessible for the majority of owners over minting directly on the Ethereum blockchain.
We are aware however that many potential buyers of our limited editions (Marble, Gold and Artist Mettamottos) would rather mint directly on Ethereum, and are not so concerned by gas fees, so we have created a second collection for these rare Metamottos on the main Eth blockchain.
Why a "Slow Mint"? Why not a whitelist/public drop?
We strongly believe in the longevity of this project - this is no "dump and run"... In our minds, this is about digital identity, not get-rich-quick schemes...
Because of this, we believe the most equitable way of dropping the Standard Collection into the right hands is by way of "slow mint" - uploading and listing them over a two-week period, and then marketing them, rather than the regular "hype, whitelist & bulk mint" NFT cycle.. This will hopefully limit gas wars, speculative price inflation, and appeal to buyers who wish to hold the assets, rather than create a flipping frenzy.
We want buyers who see themselves - and their values - in the NFTs, and want to display them to the digital world at large...
This is actually the same reason we don't have a Discord or other seperate community - Instead of creating a separate community of people with shared values, we want Metamottos holders to positively impact the digital world wherever they are!
Who is behind Metamottos?

The Metamissionary and the creator of Metamottos is Matt Bridge. Matt lives in Australia with his wonderful wife and children, and has worked in 2 careers in his life - Creative (musician/sound artist/digital artist under the name Bridgesonic), and Pastor/Social Worker... Matt says "when my mind was opened to the possibilities that NFTs hold for expressing digital identity in the emerging Web 3.0 space, my first thought immediately was "Buying digital swag and art is cool and all, but how could you express the intangible parts of yourself - those parts that really matter in shaping who you are - in a metaverse?". I have spent my life helping people answer this question in the physical world, so it's a no-brainer to me that I will end up spending the rest of my life helping people to answer this question in Web 3.0 - and beyond!" So the Metamottos brand was born...

Our first drop is planned to go live in late March / April 2022.
In Q2 2022 we will focus on providing extra utility content to Metamotto owners (see below section to explain exactly what that is).
Beyond 2022, we already have some incredible plans for at least 4 future drops of new (and different) series of Metamottos - building upon the same concept of expressing digital values in a new and exciting way.

A Metamotto for every digital soul.
Metamottos come in 4 editions, each with different levels of utility and unlockable content. Check out the series that best suits you (standard, marble, gold or artist), and keep reading to find the specific utility on offer below.
Metamottos Utility
The whole point of Metamotto NFTs are to help you convey what is important to you in the digital world - it is about helping you to showcase & develop your values and beliefs in a Web 3.0 existence. So, we want to make sure you receive the utility you need to help you do that.
The utility you receive depends upon which series of Metamotto you mint or buy:
Standard Metamottos: The base utility is innate - you get to showcase your inner values through a NFT that expresses a motto that is important to you. When you mint a standard Metamotto on Polygon, you are also entitled to a downloadable document (pdf) that explores your chosen metamotto, the author, and some reflections on how this particular metamotto can shape your digital life.
Special Editions:
Marble Edition: When you mint a Marble Metamotto on Ethereum, you get all of the utility included with a standard Metamotto, plus a downloadable e-book (pdf) '80 ways to live well digitally' that includes all of the reflections (from the Gold & Marble editions) from each series 1 Metamotto. That's 80 reflections on value statements to add value to your digital self!
Gold Edition: When you mint a Gold Edition Metamotto, you are eligible to receive all the utility of a Marble Edition (see above), plus an amazing extra: you will also be able to mint an exclusive MetaValues Token (available at the start of Q2 2022) for each of the 3 values represented by their Metamotto NFT. These will be free to you (apart from minting & gas fees obviously).
For example, if your chosen Metamotto NFT displays the values of: Altruism, Authenticity and Tenacity (as displayed in the downloadable pdf description), then you would be entitled to mint 3 seperate MetaValues Tokens: one for each of your 3 represented values. That's 3 free extra NFT's coming your way!
Artist Edition Metamotto holders are entitled to receive all the utility included with a Gold series Metamotto, (including the 3 applicable MetaValues Tokens at the start of Q2 2022) plus you can also mint a special edition MetaValues Gifting Token (once again, free to you apart from minting & gas fees). MetaValues Gifting Tokens are exclusive NFT's specifically created for you to give away to someone you know who displays the same values as you. This is how we influence the digital world for good - by acknowledging and encouraging the values we love when we see them in others... (Of course, there is nothing to stop you from holding onto this gifting NFT yourself, but the spirit of Metamottos is to spread digital values throughout Web 3.0, so we strongly encourage you to distribute these free NFTs.
Please note, all of the downloadable pdf utility benefits described above will be provided to future Metamotto holders, so if you list them for sale, future owners can redeem the same extra content as described here. Just get in touch via the form below to claim your extra content!
Note: MetaValues Tokens and MetaValues Gifting Tokens are not available to future owners - these will be a limited supply of specialty NFTs to accompany Series 1 of Metamottos (total supply will be limited to 3 MetaValues tokens for each Gold & Artist Edition Metamotto, and 1 MetaValues Gifting token per each Artist Edition Metamotto).
MetaValues?
MetaValues NFTs are collectibles representing the values espoused by your chosen Metamotto. Every Gold and Artist Edition Metamotto is entitled to 3 out of the 48 values available in total.
For example, if your Metamotto displays the values of: Courage, Perseverance & Truthfulness, then you will receive 3 MetaValues NFTs - one for each of your 3 values.
These are limited in supply, to 3 for each Metamotto created. Their rarity (and supply) will be dependant upon the percentage of Metamottos that reflect these values.
MetValues Gifting NFTs are different, and exclusive to Artist Edition Metamotto holders. We are excited about this as a way we encourage a better Web 3.0 world.
These are given to you for free, to gift to someone you know who embodies the values you hold online. It is an acknowledgement that they are making the digital world a better place, and a badge of honour for people who they are gifted to... These are strictly limited in supply (only 4700 will ever be created), so you will be sharing a valuable asset with people you value.
Tokenomics
Metamottos Drop 1 is strictly limited in supply - no more will be created once the initial offering is live. This includes all Metamottos Editions, MetaValues NFTs and MetaValues Gifting NFTs. Future Metamottos Drops (Generation 2 etc) will be different in nature, and not add to or dilute the total 1st Generation pool of Metamottos.
The creator will hold 3 of each Metamottos Edition of their choice (12 NFTs in total), and the associated MetaValues NFTs and MetaValues Gifting NFTs.
An additional 25 MetaValues Gifting NFTs will be held by the Creator for the sole purpose of future marketing/competition distribution (by way of Twitter interaction @metamottos) or gifting to people who display values online. All 25 Gifting NFTs are to be gifted before the end of December 2023. Any ungifted NFTS remaining will be burned at this time.
12% of all funds raised by the project creator over the total lifetime of this project (both primary and secondary) will be donated to support not-for-profit organisations who provide relief to people in need of welfare assistance in the physical world.
